The statement of faith
Bible, the Word of God
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testament are the inspired and infallible Word of God and is the decisive authority (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
God, trinity
We believe in one God being 3 persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7).
Jesus, the Christ
We believe in the divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virginity, His shed blood on Golgotha as forgiveness of our sins, in His physical resurrection for our justification, in His ascension and sits at the right hand of the Father. We believe He is the only way to the Father for salvation, restoration, sanctification and transfiguration. (Romans 4:25; Hebrew 10:12;1 Corinthians 1:30-31; John14:6).
Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit (John 1:33, Acts 1:8; 2:4; 9:17; 10:44-46; 11:15-16; 19:6), through which the believers are empowered and function in the gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8-10; Romans 12:3-8) of the Spirit. We believe through rebirth the Holy Spirit lives in us as the source of life (John 4:14; John 14:17). The empowerment should generate fruit throughout the life of the believer (Galatians 5:22).
Redemption
We believe everyone who believe in and receive the crucified and resurrected Lord Jesus Christ as his/her Savior and Lord receives eternal life (John 3:16). By this choice spiritual rebirth is taking place (John 1:12; John 3:3) and is spiritually a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and is one spirit with Him [Jesus, the Christ] (1 Corinthians 6:17).
Waterbaptism
We believe everyone who received Christ must be baptised in water. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38, 16:33; Galatians 3:27; Matthew 3:16; John 3:23; Acts 8:38; Rom.6:4).
Ressurection
We believe every believer will follow Christ in the resurrection of the death (1 Corinthians 15:20-24) to live eternally with Him in a transfigured body (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
Jesus Christ lives inside
We believe Jesus Christ lives inside the believer (2 Cor. 13:5; Rom.8:10; 2 Cor.4:6-7; Gal.1:15-16; Gal.2:20; Gal.4:19; Eph.3:12; Col.1:27; 2 Thess. 1:10).
Repentance
We believe Jesus commands us to follow Him, to deny our fleshly desires and to repent of our sinful life. (Matthew 16:24; Mark 8:34; Luke 9:23; Roams 6:6; Gal.5:24 ; Eph.4:22;Coloss. 3:5; Acts 3:19; 2 Peter 3:9; Acts 2:38; Matth.4:17; Acts 17:30; Acts 11:18; 2 Chron.7:10,14; 1 John 1:9; Luke 13:3; Rev. 2:5; Rev.3:19)
Renewing of the mind
We believe every believer needs to be renewed and cleansed in the mind through and with the washing of water by the Word of God. Therefor the believer needs to maintain an intimate relationship with God through Jesus Christ by studying the Word and intimate prayer. (Eph. 5:26; Romans 12:2; 1 Tim.2:3-4; Isaiah 55; John 15:4-9; John 8:31)
Circumcision (spiritual) of the heart
We believe the heart of the believer needs to be circumcised by the Holy Spirit according to John 16:8 and Acts 7:51, in order to be without spot or wrinkle as stated in Ephesians 5:26-27. Fleshly desires and fleshly passions need to be cleansed. (Deut. 30:6, Romans 2:29; Col.2:11; Romans 3:30; Romans 8:13; James 4:8)
Multiplication by the believer
We believe every believer should grow in faith to allow the water of the Holy Spirit to flow through the believer to others. It is important to obey the command of the Lord to love the Lord, each other (Matthew 22:37-39) , to go out to make disciples and to baptise them (Matthew 28:19-20). The believer helps the other, the poor and needy, the widow, the orphan with his/her gifts (Gen.1:28; John 7:38; 1 Peter.4:10; Acts 4:32; Luke 3:11-12; Proverbs 19:17; Job 29:12-16; Psalms 68:6; 1 John 3:18).
Gifts of the spirit
We believe every believer has received gifts of the Spirit and should exercise and operate in the gifts of the Spirit (Romans 12:6–8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; and 1 Corinthians 12:28).
Fruit of the spirit
We believe every believer has received gifts of the Spirit and should exercise and operate in the gifts of the Spirit (Romans 12:6–8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; and 1 Corinthians 12:28).
Body of the christ
We believe the Body of Christ exists of all believers who received redemption through Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23). We believe in a local Body of Christ and encourage each other to have fellowship with one another (Hebrew 10:25).
Foundation of the Church
We believe God put an organism in place for His Church according to: Ephesians 2: 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. We believe God has given the fivefold ministry to His Church according to: Ephesians 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of 3 4 of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the second coming of Jesus (1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:16-17). 4
